  • Walk around the property often to keep things in order and be visible.
  • Watch and give permission for cars or people to enter the area.
  • Get rid of troublemakers or people who aren’t allowed to be there.

A security person should know how to watch carefully and handle criminals. The best person for the job will be respected, be in charge, and notice things easily.
The purpose is to help the company have a great place to work by keeping the buildings safe and without problems.

Responsibilities

  • Regularly walk around the property to keep things in order and be visible.
  • Watch and allow cars or people to enter the area.
  • Make troublemakers or unwanted people leave.
  • Lock all doors and windows when closing time comes.
  • Watch security cameras often to spot problems or illegal actions.
  • Look into people who seem suspicious or have suspicious items.
  • Check out alarms to see what’s happening.
  • Help people who need it.
  • Catch and hold criminals by law until the police arrive.
  • Write reports about what was seen each day and any important events.

Minimum Requirements

  • Must be a registered security officer with current certification.
  • Must have at least a tenth-grade education.
  • Must be able to speak and write English well.
  • Basic computer skills are a plus.
  • Must be in good physical condition and able to be on your feet for extended periods.
  • Must have a clean and professional appearance.
  • Must have no criminal history.
  • Qualified applicants must successfully complete all hiring steps, including testing, interviews, and background checks.
